His work and media interviews have appeared in media outlets such as Bloomberg, Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, and S&P Global Platts. Prior to that, he worked in the publishing industry as a writer and editor. During that time, his work received half a dozen acknowledgments and awards, including a Western and National magazine award. He has master's degrees in both political theory and journalism. He lives in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies.
