Author Luca Mcleod's The Foreign National begins in Thailand, following present-day Marco. On a mission to reset his life, Marco finds that your past has a way of catching up to you, no matter how far you run.

It all started 16 years ago: the moment Marco and his dad thought of a game-changing idea; they were going to connect students from all over the world by bringing collaborative elements into the classroom and offering education to the poor. After this idea skyrockets, a normal childhood for Marco becomes a thing of the past. Marco then travels the world in hopes of finding peace and the secret to being accepted.
