The Christian life is a supernatural process and it begins with the work of God on our behalf. It is for this reason that when Paul writes an epistle to the believers at Ephesus, he does not begin with a list of instructions to be followed or commands to be obeyed, but rather he spends the entire first half of his letter in telling of all that God has done for us. It is only after he has established the riches that we have in Christ that he turns to the practical question of how we ought to live in light of our new identity. This verse by verse commentary takes the reader through Paul's teaching of the wealth and the walk of the Christian as found in his Epistle to the Ephesians.
