It began with Gwynellian many years ago when she betrayed her betrothed and became pregnant with another man's child. It was only because of the old woman that the child survived, even though Gwynellian did not. Now, it will end with quadruplets, Alley, Bailey, Clancey, & Delaney. On their 21st birthday an old woman appears and to humor her, they promise to go with her, however, they didn't know where that promise would lead, or how much danger it would put them in. Not only them, but the world as they know it. Learning all that the old woman can teach them about themselves, their lives, and the powers they possess. But when they meet there great-great-great-great grandfather, Montatre, they finally see just how dangerous he really is. Can these four sisters use their powers to defeat him, or will the entire world as they know it come to a screeching halt?
