It is 1973 in Bangkok, Thailand, and Bill Thomas is a young expatriate working for WorldMedal Inc. while enjoying occasional romantic trysts with local women anxious to please. But when a co-worker tells him he has received an anonymous warning that the company is in danger of receiving a shipment of ilmenite from Singapore instead of tin ore, Bill's life is suddenly upended.
