Khar-mohr, a young donkey from Nazareth, is chosen by Joseph to carry a very pregnant Mary to Bethlehem. Since there's no room in any inn, Mary eventually gives birth to Jesus in a stable. Khar-mohr is there to witness the event, as well as the arrival of the shepherds and three kings, and is awestruck by the appearance of the star of Bethlehem.
