Mija the beagle spent the first decade of her life imprisoned in testing laboratories, made blind by countless injections in her eyes, and producing multiple offspring along with her twelve "sisters and cousins." Her life miraculously changes when they are all finally relinquished to a shelter, ultimately rescued by a caring and courageous rescue group, then flown halfway around the world.
