Aprašymas

Who will it ring for next?

When a man's body is found in the grounds of Glasgow Cathedral, arranged with chilling care, DCI John Lomond's Major Investigations Team have only one lead: a memorial notice in the paper for a man who wasn't dead yet.

Then a second body appears. A second notice. And a detail at both scenes points to the four miracles of St Mungo, from Glasgow's own coat of arms: The bird. The tree. The bell. The fish.

Someone is turning Glasgow's founding legends into murder scenes.

But as Lomond digs into the victims' pasts, he finds a connection darker than any legend - a grudge carried for decades, and a list of names left to cross off.

In old Glasgow, the dead bell was rung through the streets before a funeral.

Now it's ringing again. And Lomond is running out of time to silence it...
