• On a Lincolnshire farm, thirteen-year-old young inventor Harry Scrambles and trickster sister Lou (15) hurtle through a Neolithic stone time portal in Harry's souped-up farm car, travelling from 1979 to 2079 in the hope of recovering a stolen ruby and finding their long-lost Grandpa.
  Instead, they discover a future perfect world about to crash into dystopian carnage and genetically modified monster hornets about to colonise the planet. Will the siblings survive long enough to realise the truth behind their Grandfather's mysterious wartime disappearance?

  Trying to eradicate the monstrous Deathmonger wasps with no weapons or insecticide and according to futuristic ethical principles seems hard enough, but when Harry and Lou are dragged into a crazy Victorian horse race, they find their access to the time portal, suddenly blocked. Will they ever make it back to the future to save mankind? Indeed, will they ever see home again?
