The reluctance to effectively address environmental destruction, overpopulation, and genetic deterioration is frequently attributed to weak political leadership, administrative failures, and economic constraints. This book uncovers an additional, crucial cause underlying this human failure: It is the nihilistic drive that insidiously targets the human species with the aim of undermining life itself. The author identifies the dynamics of Species-Targeting Destructiveness, rooted in the death instinct, examining how it manifests in human behavior and is perpetuated by specific individuals and social groups. To counteract these forces, the author proposes a bio-political solution.

ALEXANDER ABDENNUR has worked as a criminal justice researcher with federal research departments and has taught at universities in Canada and abroad. He holds an MA in Criminology and a PhD in Education from the University of Ottawa and is the author of five academic books.
