But to find out, he has to talk to one of the legendary First Landers, and if he survives that, he has a dinner date with his some-time pilot and old flame Jackie Roberts.

Meanwhile, Carson & Roberts's old pal Rico, who was last seen shot and left for dead on Earth, has been slowly recovering in a traumapod, and now he's woken up. He's just not sure who put him in the pod in the first place, and the people who let him out have more questions than answered.

This fourth Carson & Roberts adventure follows The Eridani Convergence. And of course, there are surprises.
