The Box of Death (el. knyga) (skaityta knyga) | knygos.lt

Aprašymas

Ripped from her home, Maris Goselin is thrown into a hostile alien world, where magic is hoarded by powerful entities that call themselves gods, and others are but pawns in the gods' endless struggles for dominance. As if things couldn't get any worse, the first person who greets her there is an old acquaintance she'd rather forget: Brian, the loyal Constable of Cheom-god of horses and some other nonsense Maris can't be bothered to remember.

To win her way back, Maris must join Brian on a quest to infiltrate a forsaken territory teeming with zombies and evil sorcerers and recover the notorious Box of Death, an object of power that can turn a god into a monster and sow desolation across the land. But how do they do it when Brian-whose high principles demand honor in battle, frontal attacks, and ramming through obstacles without compromise-simply refuses to accept the idea that the god he serves cannot be trusted? And how do they avoid the biggest danger of all-the seductive power of the box itself?
