The Liberal view: in neither case would the situation be relieved of all its dangers-To some extent this opinion is unsound-A decisive result either way must have a moderating influence-One of Ulster's main grievances would be removed-Nationalists could not escape the moral effect-The principle of Home Rule is popular in Ireland, but not the present bill.
