Eight Old Testament nations fell under the wrath of God within a few decades of the Hebrews' escape from slavery in Egypt. Some were lost forever. None ever returned to their previous greatness. And they're not the only ones to suffer such a fate. Many nations--including Israel itself--have come under God's judgment, and it's never good news when that happens.
