In this new collection of poems, John David Ebert takes the reader on a visionary tour through the history of human practices of death and burial. Beginning in the Lower Paleolithic, Ebert chronicles the evolution of burial practices as they evolve from caves to collective burials to individual burials and finally with the burial traditions of the West. The book roams across the planet in time from the archaic dead to the modern dead and across the planet in space from West to East and back again.
