Tanks on the Battlefield: T-34 is the first book in a new photographic series presenting original, unpublished photographs of tanks and military equipment taken on the battlefield by active servicemen, usually of the opposing force, with captions providing historical context and essential data and information. And where better to start than the T-34? The venerable Soviet workhorse of the Second World War was arguably the most iconic tank ever produced, achieving a battlefield reputation rivalled only by such legends as the Sherman and Tiger. This book lays out in detail the T-34's production and combat history, alongside photographs taken by German, American and Israeli soldiers, each of whom, in various theatres, have faced the T-34 in battle.
