This rockery, a chaotic jumble of tales, is constructed of thirteen different stones; bizarre fictions. The stories are of people caught between a rock and a strange place; the interface of the natural and supernatural worlds. There are tales of mystery and imagination, some with mayhem or even murder. Yes, minerals are always in there: either boldly displayed as a solid foundation, or almost hidden away, partially concealed in the undergrowth. A garden rockery with its mimicry of topography is best viewed in three dimensions and so likewise, there is no order to these stories; the seductive diamond may lie upon a bed of common slate, the wearer of an amber bead may draw you in closer than the magnetism of ancient ironstone; soft chalk may prove to be as deadly as the lust for gold.
