Sunday Homilies: Liturgical Year C presents Fr. William Bergen's engaging and compassionate preaching, shaped by over forty years of ministry in Jesuit parishes. Following the Lectionary cycle, the homilies are arranged by the liturgical seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time. Year C focuses on the Gospel of Luke, highlighting the themes of mercy, compassion, and the universality of God's love, while drawing in passages from John during the Easter season. This final volume completes the series, offering enduring insight and inspiration for both personal prayer and pastoral use.

William Bergen, SJ, is a native of New York City and has been a Jesuit priest for the past sixty years. He has spent most of that time in parish ministry--first at Saint Ignatius Parish in Baltimore and then for the past thirty-five years at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in New York City. Fr. Bergen had been on the staff of Mount Manresa Retreat House in Staten Island prior to its closing and an adjunct professor of theology at St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ. Since his retirement at the end of 2024, he has continued to pursue his interest in Sacred Scripture and Christian spirituality.
