Aprašymas

Early summer is a season of resonance, a time when the world vibrates with a sudden, high-frequency energy. In Strum, Jonathan Potter captures this vibrant transition through a series of twenty-eight poems, each meticulously crafted to mirror the mathematical rhythms of the I Ching. As the second volume in a planned six-volume macro-hexagram of seasonal chapbooks, Strum moves from the tentative awakenings of spring into the full, resonant heat of July. It is a collection of sightings and sounds-the flash of a red-winged blackbird, the hum of sun over the mountains of Montana, and the electric tension of a world in full leaf. Through a strict syllabic prosody, Potter transforms the ancient logic of the oracle into a modern song of presence, inviting the reader to listen to the shimmering frequency of the present moment.
