Dr. Cooper Troutman’s attempts to move on from the tragic death of his wife, Jen, and the scars of a childhood marred by family dysfunction are stymied when the body of Paul Blanton, the man convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the drunk-driving accident that took Jen’s life, is found on the outskirts of Falls Edge, Cooper’s hometown. Suddenly, Cooper’s life is in turmoil, affecting his medical practice and his budding relationship with his girlfriend, Abby.
