Performance poet Robert Garnham spent the summer of 2020 interviewing those involved in the Brixham fishing industry, and learning all about the history of this Devon port. The result, commissioned by Torbay Culture, was the pamphlet 'Squidbox'. These poems are a celebration of a remarkable town with its rich history and culture, taking in themes such as war refugees, the role of women in the town's development, the environmental impact of fishing, and the trawler crews who risk their lives to bring their catch home.
