Karen West is a native-born New Zealander, now living in Australia. She writes historic romances under a pseudonym Kate Westwood and has published a first collection of poems, Between Is and Was. Her second collection of poems, Small Journeys savours those fleeting moments and experiences which shape the journey of our lives.
Set against the inevitable backdrop of her beloved New Zealand landscapes, Small Journeys looks towards ideas of memory, sentimentality, personal loss, and the resilience of human nature to move forward in courage and in hope.
