Aprašymas

Broken bones and a broken heart can lead to unexpected joy.

In this raw and unflinching memoir, champion skier and animal lover Iona Rossely shares a journey marked by thrilling victories, devastating setbacks, and emotional betrayals.

From adrenaline highs to moments of emptiness, Iona discovers that true victory lies not in winning, but in a life-changing encounter in a French kitchen. With Irish humour and heartfelt honesty, Iona's story takes us from a Welsh convent to the ski slopes of Europe, the Mediterranean's waters, the deserts of the Middle East and finally to a welcoming community in Australia. This is a story of resilience, belonging, and the surprising ways love shapes us.

'Shaped by Love' combines just about everything I love in a memoir: top-level sporting achievements, a deep love of animals, a thoroughly relatable narrator, exotic international locations and authentic faith. Told with humour and honesty, Iona's book will help you make your own transition to be Shaped by Love. I highly recommend it.'
