The parallels between economy, religion, social issues, and world environment of the twenty-first century are very similar to those of the 1930s and 1940s. Economically, unemployment, poverty, and inflation were at their lowest points in history in 1939. What destroyed us then is threatening to destroy us now. In 1939, with the dark clouds of destruction rolling around the world, religion was at its peak. As a unified America, we responded as one nation under God and saved a nation about to lose their freedom. Miraculously, we diminished unemployment and poverty in a few short months. Details of how, when, and why this happened have explanations, and can help us today. With God's blessing, our economy flourished and we became the image of freedom, hope, and opportunity as the most powerful nation in the world. In 68 years, we have destroyed that image and put ourselves in a worse position. The dark clouds are rolling at us once again. The answer to our secular problems may surprise you, and those who have observed the decline will not dispute the evidence. First, we must re-establish the unity and dedication that we possessed in 1939 through 1946. Then we must apply the solutions that are guaranteed to work. There is a world in dire need. That is a vast market. We were created as a Christian nation. We must maintain a strong military force, but it is our responsibility to help others raise up to the level that God has raised us up to, before it becomes a war that could destroy the world.
