Marguerite Guzmán Bouvard's poetry books have won two awards, the Quarterly Review of Literature award and the MassBook Award for Poetry. She has received awards for her poems from Blue Mesa Press, and the Moon prize from Writing in a Woman's Voice. She is a former professor of Political Science and Poetry as well as giving lectures on climate change. She has also written a number of non-fiction books on Social Justice, Human Rights, Grief, Illness and The Invisible Wounds of War. Her book, Revolutionizing Motherhood: the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, has been cited around the world in Croatia, Denmark, Austria, Poland, France, Switzerland, Israel, Sweden, Romania, Indonesia, Israel, Spain, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, and Iran.
