Seven Southern Stories is a collection of nonfiction short stories that follow a young Canadian family as they visit their newly retired parents in the small town of Homosassa, Florida. Under the assumption life and culture would be virtually identical, reality proves otherwise. Home to the manatees and various wildlife, Homosassa attracts, and is home to some of the most interesting people. Seven Southern Stories is an account of cultural and social interactions that are considered anything but the norm, for a Canadian. From biker bars to steak houses, and bar hopping by boat, this young family finds out what southern life is really about.
