Self-sufficiency and Prepping, has become a twenty-first century fad. Like the nuclear fallout shelter craze of the 1950s, upwards of three million people have built underground shelters and stocked pantries in preparation for impending doomsday scenarios. Economic collapse, an EMP (Electromagnetic pulse), severe weather, natural disasters, dirty bombs, global pandemics and unemployment... All believe life as we know it will drastically change. It really doesn't matter which event you feel will force your family into an emergency scenario; "sensible preparedness" just makes sense.
