Just. One. Normal. Date. Just one... That's all I wanted.
After yet another crash and burn, my friends were quick to point out I had a good guy in my life. Azrael was nice, considerate, housebroken, cared about all of us, and was always there for me. He was also in my circle of besties and I in no way wanted to risk our friendship for a little fun. But after he fended off one of my exes and the words 'Cáit is mine, ' came out of his mouth, our other friends pressured him to make good on that statement and take me out.
The thing about Azrael is, he's got a few quirks. Mortician, rides a white sport bike, pretty quiet... none of these were problems for me except that's not all there is to it. He's actually, literally, the Angel of Death, and I might be his War. Yep, one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Now I might have to help him prevent said apocalypse because it turns out the rest of the Horsemen aren't real keen on the idea after all.
So much for my dating life.
