I am an 18-year old college freshman; Brooklyn born., now residing in the Bronx. I was raised from a Hispanic middle-class family. Growing up I was a little strange. My mind worked differently than anyone else's. I was always clueless on the most obvious thing and understood the darkest, deepest things. Now it may sound like you, but since I would remember I was bullied. I thought I was laughing with them and them laughing at me. But when I found out the truth, I started writing.Poetry was my outlet and it saved me along with music. I wrote about deep topics; topics that people didn't discuss on a regular basis. My poetry is powerful, and no one knew because I was afraid to be judged but now, I don't care for the judgement and I want to share my writing to show people that they are not alone.
