A stolen diamond. A murder. No way out. The killer is still among them...

Hyderabad, India, 1895. At the magnificent Falaknuma Palace, an eclectic group has been gathered to witness the sale of a legendary diamond. Among them are a scientist, a monk, a clairvoyant, a garden designer and a railway magnate. When the host suddenly can no longer attend, Chief Inspector Soobramania - Soob - is asked to host the weekend's events.

Meanwhile, a new arrival from Scotland Yard brings devastating information that makes Chief Inspector Wilberforce, of the British Residency Police, question everything he thought he knew about Soob, and they set out to arrest him.

When a torrential monsoon hits the palace, cutting it off from the city, the guests have no way to leave. When a guest is discovered dead, there is only one thing that is certain. The killer is still there...
