The classic work by Alfred Korzybski that introduces his new discipline of general semantics, now in a sixth edition. Based on scientific method, Korzybski presents readers with the idea of non-aristotelian perspectives and systems as a parallel to non-newtonian physics and non-euclidean geometry as the basis of new ways of thinking in general to match the new understandings of our world and universe that have emerged over the past two centuries. Intended to be a system that can be used by everyone, general semantics is introduced here as a method of evaluating our surroundings, the messsages we receive from others, and our own thinking.
