Aprašymas

In Rocket Surgery, Matthew Yeager follows up his critically acclaimed debut (Like That, 2016) with a wild new batch of long poems. Whether constructing a fictional piece of public art out of spray-painted dance steps, inhabiting the perspective of a deceased centerfold, or laying out a darkly hilarious Notes from Underground-like catering vengeance narrative, Yeager is an engineer of one-of-a-kind poetic rollercoasters, a mad scientist of rollicking linguistic trips. Given a chance, the fast-running, tone-torquing, obsessively-constructed poems in Rocket Surgery will carry a reader to places most often beyond poetry's reach.
