'Rhythm' is a poetic journey through the varied phases of human life and the sensitivity created by the surroundings. The inner turmoils portraying different moods, issues of social relevance, nature and mythology are also topics of this poetic endeavour. Significance of life, deepest questions about existence, truth and knowledge, morals and logic, have all been treated in different styles. Words and rhythm have been skillfully maneuvered to suit the subject of each of the poems in this collection.

'The mystic minstrel' speaks with the singing bards of Bengal (Baul); 'A day in a tea garden' portrays the vibrant day- to-day life of the tea pluckers and in the 'The divine journey', 'Heaven on Earth', 'An odyssey timeless' paints a picture of the immortal love of the mythological characters Radha and Kanha. 'A sight at a traffic signal' is a portrayal of busy urban life.

The poems as whole address important aspects of life in an engaging way. The collection as a whole encompass all forms, walks and stages of human existence.
