Aprašymas

We are told by sceptics that the Bible contradicts itself, but is this the case? At first glance, to the uniformed or unlearned, this may appear to be so. However, these apparent contradictions are mostly resolved by considering: 1) The problems caused by translation: there is no exact 1 - 1 correspondence between the words of two different languages.2) The problems caused by transmission: errors which arose in ancient times when manuscripts were copied by hand.3) Problems caused by interpretation: our interpretation or understanding of the passages which seem to contradict is deficient. The author does a good job in bringing before the reader these three main causes if apparent contradictions. He does so simply, clearly, and in a style which is easy to understand.
