With her morals gone, Bellona sits at home fighting the indecency she's always kept locked away, deep inside herself. Yet as Kera returns to their place of living, Bell cuts loose and lets her vampiric lover have it over all the run-around games Kera's been playing. Yet, Bellona's will to Kera comes to an abrupt end due to being pulled away to face the one who cursed her without morals. During this time, Bell learns a truth that brings with it a new level of betrayal. After learning of her son's prophecy and discovering Kera was only with her so she could get close to the boy, Bell's left to hunt for the vampiric whore who took her son.

Still, in the depths of Yellowstone, Fontana and her small group continue to hunt the lycan Alexander and the army he tries to build. Though fate takes a twist. Their target finds a way to evade them as Fontana finds herself in a place she's always feared. Even still, this place yields its rewards in the form of companions the likes of which this world's never seen. Knowing the lycan and his army have found their way to the cove, Fontana leads her team back home to warn her sister that the fight's there. Nevertheless, as she learns what's come of Kera and that her nephew's been taken, the gears of the coming war shift, and it becomes a race against time. Can this small army of immortals band together to take on the tasks ahead, or will it prove that there's nothing between them but water?
