Aprašymas

The Irish wills housed at the Registry of Deeds, Dublin, have special importance because "they replace some of those destroyed in the Record Office in 1922, when virtually all the original Irish Prerogative and Consistorial Wills perished." Miss Eustace combed through the Registry's vast Index of Grantors in abstracting this two-volume collection of some 2,000 wills housed at the Registry. The abstracts include some or all of the following information: the name, address, and occupation of the testator; the names of all relatives mentioned in the will; the names and addresses of all other legatees, trustees, executors, etc.; descriptions of all lands detailed in the will, with the names of grantors; the names of witnesses to the signing of the will, as well as the names of witnesses to the registration of the memorial after the testator's death; and a citation to the source of the original will.
