Doctor Alex Liang performs an emergency tracheotomy on a plane in order to save a stranger's life. He has no idea he has just saved the life of a man who will so greatly alter his own. Eric's life is one of riches and prestige, but he suffers from a personal problem: his wife, Mei Lin, has lung cancer and the prognosis is not good. Through a twist of fate, these two men find each other again online and feel connected.
