Aprašymas
Linda Silberman, Cooperation and Communication in Private International Law, Traditional and Contemporary Regimes, Inaugural Lecture
This Inaugural Lecture on Cooperation and Communication in Private International Law offers a brief overview of global efforts in private international law over the last several decades. As crossborder activity has expanded over the year to touch on many different substantive areas, the methods for cooperation in private international law among nation States has necessarily changed. This Lecture is a brief survey of various models of cooperation over the last few decades.
Jack J. Coe Jr., The Investor-State Arbitration Ecosystem
The modern investor-State arbitration ecosystem exhibits an inter-play among various actors that is ever-evolving. These actors include States (those who host investment and those who export it), the parties (private enterprises and Respondent States), legal counsel, funders, national courts (serving myriad functions), administering institutions, arbitral tribunals and numerous observers and putative stakeholders. These lectures attempt to give a sense of the manner in which these actors interact and the surrounding legal architecture that provides the backdrop to their conduct.
