Aprašymas

First installment in a new, power-packed romantic suspense series by an award-winning writer

Kane McKinley has never sought out trouble--it just always seems to find him. For years he butted heads with the law in his small Manitoba town on the Canada-US border. Then his parents disappeared without a trace, leaving Kane, his Deaf older brother Adam, and their three younger brothers on their own on the family ranch.

Kane is determined to stay on the straight and narrow to be there for the rest of the McKinley boys. But one frigid January night he encounters a desperate family dumped off by smugglers on the American side of the border and attempting to make it on foot across the frozen prairies to Canada. Unable to bear the thought of them freezing to death, Kane breaks the law to help them to safety.

He doesn't care that he's ticked off the local police sergeant, but for reasons he can't explain, he cares very much what the new officer in town, Sierra Delgado, thinks of him. Now Kane's impulsive decision to get involved in a cause he never asked for might cost him and his four brothers everything.
