These selected poems from 2011 by Gordon Purkis, while not specifically religious, offer insight into a year spent in contemplation and conversation with certain Powers. A different type of voice for the author emerged in a year of lower poetic productivity but hopefully produced a more mature approach. Speckled in of course is a love for words and an explorative curiosity for how they work together, language being a vehicle for unexpected discoveries. Gordon Purkis is a poet, artist, editor and publisher. Currently he works in Sales and Marketing in Atlanta, GA, volunteers as a DJ and theatre usher.
