Edward Williams said: "I began writing as a teenager and picked it up again when my wife's dementia put me through a lot of emotional turmoil. My hobbies include tennis, horse riding, caring for dogs, being a church organist, U3A, property development and gardening. I have recently written about 50 poems and had about half published in anthologies. I would like to be remembered as someone who gave a bit of pleasure rather than pain to close ones."
