Based on a character Barrie introduced in his 1902 novel "The Little White Bird", Peter Pan and his Lost Boys became an instant success after they first appeared. Barrie continued to make changes to his now iconic tale and adapted the play into the novel "Peter and Wendy", published in 1911.
