Ancient vampires live under the city, thirsting for new blood, creeping out through the ductwork. They escape tunnels to prey on the unsuspecting. On her way home from working at the theater, Deirdre meets Benton, but he is a reluctant vampire, longing for release from a curse he fears will last for eternity. Sidell, on the other hand, relishes his life as a vampire, and uses his glamour to ensnare one of Deirdre's friends. Can Deirdre slay a vampire to save an innocent person?
