The Demonlord's goblins flood the Northlands. Prophecy is about to be fulfilled. If being fated to die isn't bad enough for him, archaeologist turned highmage, George Bradley must deal with the Imperial Court, a Shattered House challenging one of his bodyguards to a fight to the death, and a deadly assassin running loose in the palace.
