There is no greater love than a mother's love. It is unconditional and beyond compare. Our mothers are the most consistent person who would motivate us to be the best version of ourselves.
I, myself, had experienced that purest kind of love. It was imprinted in my heart and had ignited my desire to really do the things I thought were impossible for me to accomplish. Yes, I never thought of becoming a book author. However, my mother's investment of love in me had resulted in this brainchild, this humble book of our hardships, struggles, memories, and victories.
This book is not only memorabilia of a great weaver and a great mother but also a reflection of my beloved municipality's rich and unique cultural heritage- its scents, sights, and splendors!
This anthology of feature articles showcases the beauty and grandeur of Paoay, Ilocos Norte while reflecting our desirable values as Ilocanos.
From the golden sands of the dunes of Paoay to the majestic architectural design of the Paoay Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, our stories were scribbled to form a versatile tapestry which is the Pangablan: The Living Treasure of Paoay.
