The poet Steve retells a history of his family life, travel adventures and philosophical thoughts, having come from UK at age 7 and settled in Sydney.

The poems come under three headings, Family, Philosophy and Travel.

"Family" describes the circumstances of his birth, and his wife's, along with personal developments over the years since, including his experience of schizophrenia since 1980, having been medicated up to the present day.

"Philosophy" describes his Christian religious opinions and other thoughts.

"Travel" describes tourist adventures he has experienced in Australia and elsewhere, many since marriage to Catherine in 2001. All are meant to be taken in good humour.
