Aprašymas
"Once there were three baby owls: Sarah and Percy and Bill. They lived in a hole in the trunk of a tree with their Owl Mother..."
When three baby owls awake one night to find their mother missing, they can't help but wonder where she's gone: What is she doing? When will she be back? What scary things move all around them? Huddled together for reassurance on a tree branch, Sarah, Percy, and Bill worry about their mothers—and themselves—until, at last, she gracefully swoops back down to the nest.
With its celebratory ending complete with flapping, dancing, and bouncing, this tale is sure to comfort children who will recognize and appreciate the fears of these young owls.
Patrick Benson's stunning pictures from unique and striking perspective perfectly compliment Martin Waddel's spare text in capturing the plight of these baby owls. Ever before has a tale of young ones who miss their mother been so simply told or so magnificently illustrated.
