The Delmarva Peninsula is the point of departure for a richly visual and tactile world full of seaside fantasy, hopes and fears--human and animal, resident and transitory. We may glimpse vacationers and their footprints in the sand, but only as a small part of the mosaic. Text in verse is interspersed with black and white photo-poems, bringing us on a journey through the region and beyond. The work is rooted in genuine maritime salt, and there is a collective memory of heritage and aspirations rendered in a very distinctive literary voice.
