Aprašymas
Travel to the castles, harbours, and bustling courts of Normandy alongside Richard, a lively Norman boy growing up in the age of Duke William. In Our Little Norman Cousin of Long Ago, readers follow Richard as he learns horsemanship, trains in arms, visits the abbeys and shipyards of Rouen, and witnesses the birth of the bold seafaring spirit that would carry the Normans across Europe.
Through Richard's adventures-riding with his father's knights, helping prepare great feasts, observing the building of ships, and hearing stories of Viking ancestors-the vibrant world of eleventh-century Normandy comes alive.
Rich with historical colour and appealing storytelling, this charming tale offers a child's-eye view into the disciplined, adventurous culture that shaped the Normans and helped alter the course of medieval history.
