The ques-tion is the relevance of this foundation. Ontology can be a relevant founda-tion of a design strategy. Further, architecture can be a tool of human self-understanding in the world. Understanding this connection can lead to a conscious construction of environment. The study of ontology in the context of architecture seeks to develop tools that help create this environment of self-awareness and awareness of an ontic-ontological reality. The investigation that results in the concept of ontic space begins with the analysis of metaphysics and ontology.
